The Blind River Public Library is proud to announce our newest research collection. The Great Lakes Historical Collection has been established through a bequest from the late Dougall McQuarrie. Mr. McQuarrie was an avid amature Great Lakes Historian. He meticulously collected and preserved his subscription to "Island Seas" published quarterly by the Great Lakes Historical Society. We have copies dating from 1945 to the present. Mr. McQuarrie's estate also established a life time membership to the Society for this Library.
Boaters, local and summer residents and students will find this a useful resource. The collection is for in-library use only and will be added to in coming years.
