February 24 to March 2, 2002 is Freedom to Read week in Canada. The Blind River Public Library will be presenting a selection of previously banned books for your reading enjoyment. Books like "The Indian in the Cupboard" by Lynne Reid Banks, "A Clockwork Orange" by Anthony Burgess, "Lord of the flies" by William Golding, the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling, and more.
Come in to the Library and read the Ontario Library Association Statement on Intellectual Freedom which supports the individuals right , within the limits of the law, to judge for himself on questions of politics, religion, and morality.
