Letter on Discipline Procedures

To: Nipissing District Adult Soccer Teams.

From: Les Wilkinson

Subject: Discipline by Hearing and regularly scheduled discipline hearings.

July 4 2007.

Last week Siggi sent out an e-mail saying that the NDASC would hold regularly scheduled discipline hearings on every Monday. These will start Monday July 23. The hearings will start if one is asked for at 7:30 pm. If you request a hearing or if the discipline problem reported requires a hearing then you will be informed of the place the meeting will be held. We have to book and some times pay for a meeting room so if we are not holding a meeting on a particular Monday then we do not have to pay for a hearing room we will not use.

Second: If there is a hearing for whatever reason, you need to know what rights you have and what you are charged with so I am attaching two files from the OSA Discipline policy. I believe they are self explanatory. If you wish to check the whole OSA Discipline policy which is mandatory for us to follow then please go to the OSA Web site www.soccer.on.ca On the left side are bullets one of which says "Published Rules." Click on this and then go to " OSA POLICIES" and then go to 9.0 Discipline.

If you read the suspension and fines section which is included below, you will find that some of the suspensions and fines are extremely severe.

Thanks

Les W.
